A fascinating in-house PR opportunity has arisen for a seasoned and proactive corporate communications professional. The client, a wholly owned subsidiary of a global leader in the aerospace and defence sector, is looking for a Media Manager to design, plan and implement a full media relations programme for the company in the UK. It's a meaty challenge requiring an in-depth knowledge of media relations, issues management, crisis management and the ability to work effectively with senior management. With a track record in developing and implementing short and long term communication plans you will promote the company's name, image, market position, products, capabilities and people to the UK media, and international media as appropriate. The company has 12,000 staff and a ten-strong communications team across Europe. You will report to the Director of Communications in the UK and have a dotted line to the HQ in Paris. The UK office is 20 minutes on the train from central London.
